LAW FIRM ON THE MOVE IN SOUTHAMPTON

The Southampton office of regional law firm Foot Anstey is set to expand to a new location.

The firm’s relocation from International House at Southampton International Business Park to the White Building comes just 12 months since it first opened a presence in the city.

Since the office opened last September with a team of four lawyers, Foot Anstey has continued its recruitment drive with two lateral hires, partners Mark Pinder (corporate) and Paul Cox (intellectual property), joining the firm in May 2017.

The office’s total headcount is expected to rise to 15 permanent staff by the end of 2017.

Martin Hirst, partner and head of real estate, said: “We are delighted to be strengthening Foot Anstey’s presence in Southampton with our new premises. In a short period of time we’ve successfully developed client relationships and nurtured talent within the Southampton market.

“The impressive space at the White Building will facilitate further growth, support our strategy of providing a client-centric service and provide an environment where our employees can thrive.”

The new Southampton office is the second office launch in 2017 for Foot Anstey. In June, the firm’s Bristol office moved to a new location at 2 Glass Wharf in Temple Quay.

Andrew Oliver of Ashville Asset Management, the asset manager for the landlord, added: “We’d like to welcome Foot Anstey to White Building and are delighted they chose it for their new Southampton office.

“The take-up and demand from such tenants is a real accolade to the quality of the building and the success it has had since launching last year. We look forward to a long-term relationship with Foot Anstey and hope they enjoy their new office environment.”
